The Projekt Open Books app lets you build your own custom tattoo booking form in just a few steps.

Before you get started

Before you build your own custom booking form, make sure to set up and save your policies. Once done, you can build your own booking form.

Where to find the booking form editor

The fastest way to locate the booking form editor is on the dashboard. Scroll down to the "Tools" section and tap on "Booking Form".

Building your own custom tattoo booking form

Step 1: Setting a title & description

First, you can set the title of your booking form and the description, these fields will appear at the top of your booking form on your public profile.

Step 2: Add or remove questions

By default, your tattoo booking form will already have some pre-defined questions. If you want to remove them, just tap on the trashcan icon. Some questions (like Name, Age, Email, Phone, etc.) cannot be removed, as they are critical information to the app.

If you want to add a question, you can do so by tapping "Common questions" or "Custom question". As you scroll through each section (Personal information, Contact information etc.), you can tap on the "Common questions" button to explore already existing questions or create your own question in this section by tapping "Custom question". Please note, that common questions vary by section.

Step 3: Edit questions & sections

  • Editing the labels: You can edit any question or section label by double-tapping it. Same goes for the description. Simply double-tap it and customize it to your needs.

  • Setting questions to required / not-required: By checking the "required" box below a question, you can set this question to required on your booking form. Please be aware that some questions again are required information, such as their phone number.

  • Re-arranging questions: You can re-arrange by using the up and down arrow next to them. However, you cannot move a question from one section to another. Sections can not be re-arranged, but empty sections will not show on your booking form.

  • Editing multi-select questions: You can edit multiple things in multi-select questions. You can set limits on how many options a user can choose, include a text field for "other" and set them to required if needed. If you want to edit the options a user can select, double-tap the title and then add each option, separated by a comma.

Good to know

  • Empty sections don't show on your booking form

  • Common questions vary by section

Step 4: Save it!

Once you are happy with your form, you can save it by tapping the save button. You can also preview it first, or in case you made a mistake, reset it to default.
